Job Description:  National Practice Leader, Life and Disability (External Wholesaling) 

Location: Anywhere 

Grade:  14S

 

 


Job Summary:  

·       Responsible for leading team of Life and Disability Product Consultants to achieve Life and Disability Sales Goals ($400M for Group Life and $240M for Group Disability)

·       Responsible for driving Premium and Fees growth for Group Life and Disability 

 

Functional Responsibilities: 

 

·       Effectively manage team in the delivery to Sales 

·       Strategic Sales Opportunity Support 

·       Best-in-class training (internal and external) Support

·       Serve as Industry Practice Leader for Group Life and Disability

·       Serve as key contact with LAD Consultants and brokers 

·       Subject Matter Expertise and Competitive Intelligence for Life and Disability Products

·       Lead in the development and leveraging of best practices within your team and across verticals in the COE 

·       Create a highly productive environment where direct reports perform to the best of their ability 

·       Enhance partnerships by building, growing and maintaining relationships with sales partners, intermediaries and peers 

·       Promote positive culture within assigned product vertical and the COE 

·       Compliance with policy guidelines and adherence to assigned budgets, as applicable, including 30 day expense reimbursement submissions 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

·       Lead a team of 8 Life and Disability Product Consultants

 

Job Requirements/Qualifications: 

  • College and Advance Degree Preferred
  • 10+ years of Life and Disability Industry experience. 
  • 5+ years of manager experience 
  • Life and Health License in all States

Key Competencies, Qualifications and Skills, Preferred:

  • 10+ years Life and Disability Industry knowledge (UW, Claims, Sales Process)
  • Knowledge of all Life Disability product lines (STD, LTD, FMLA, statutory claims, Term Life, Optional Life and AD&D) preferred.  
  • Strong knowledge competitors and Industry Best Practices
  • Key relationships with brokers and consultants 
  • Ability to create strong internal and external partnerships
  • Ability to lead a team of expert resources
 
 

The wage range for applicants for this position is $120,000. This role is also eligible for sales incentive compensation. The salary range for applicants for this position is 120,000K + Sales Incentive.
