We are looking for a Regional HR Risk, Controls & Reporting Lead to join HR Business Controls & Governance team from our Center of Excellence in Argentina.

What you will do in this role… 

  • Coordinate timely and robust NFRA execution with country HR partners
  • Ensure consistent execution of the risk framework, including risk tools (e.g. - Open Pages) within the assigned region
  • Coordinate country rollout and adherence to risk policy and procedures
  • Partner with local operations leaders to identify opportunities for more effective/efficient use of resources to accomplish risk activities
  • Monitor and report out on the remediation of issues/action plans within the region
  • Provide risk reporting to local HR leaders, Global HBCG leads and 2nd LoD
  • Facilitate the rollout/execution of 2nd LoD initiatives within assigned region
  • Partner with the Director of Global Data Governance & Privacy and local HR to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and MetLife policies, including but not limited to data privacy, security and ILM
  • Partner with Director of Content & Policy Governance and local HR to ensure HR policy governance standards are consistently applied across countries (within assigned region)
  • Manage the development and implementation of an HR risk & control framework which facilitates the proactive identification and assessment of HR risk and determines the effectiveness of controls and remediation actions
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across global HR functional teams, GRM and Internal Audit
  • Partner with HR risk owners to address risk-related issues, develop and implement remediation plans and enhance and monitor ongoing controls
  • Interpret, document, and communicate risk management procedures, rules, laws, and regulations to HR stakeholders as needed 
  • Manage other HR risk and compliance related projects as needed
  • Document and present risk assessment and audit findings to leaders within HR


 

To help you succeed, you need… 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • Proven experience in risk/compliance/audit functions, preferably in the insurance, banking or financial industry.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment
  • Ability to use good judgment to problem solve with urgency, make critical decisions, and involve necessary individuals at the appropriate time
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to develop strong professional relationships with peers, managers, executives, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong cultural agility and dexterity with the ability to effectively work across cultures with team members and colleagues within LatAm and in global regions (Asia, EMEA, US)
  • Demonstrates a willingness to assume responsibility, demonstrate initiative and is highly ethical and confidential in dealing with sensitive information
  • Ability to anticipate and identify risks and effective mitigation


And it will be a plus if you…

  • Previous exposure and knowledge around HR, Compliance, Risk & Regulatory Frameworks
  • Knowledge of HR processes and systems (including human capital management systems and reporting tools)
