Role Value Proposition:  

This position performs chief-of-staff functions reporting to Vice President and Chief of Staff to Regional President of U.S. Business (USB) and MetLife Holdings and serves as a deputy chief of staff. This position plays a key leadership role in directing activities that support a variety of strategic initiatives across Group Benefits, Retirement and Income Solutions and MetLife Holdings. Key responsibilities include strategic planning for the cascade of enterprise initiatives across U.S. Business and leading the cascade with the full ownership in support of the Chief of Staff and the Office of MetLife CEO. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

In support of the Chief of Staff:

  • Plan and coordinate cross-business and cross-company initiatives and strategic projects. 
  • Align business initiatives to the MetLife Enterprise vision and strategy and ensure cohesion.
  • Proactively lead ad hoc assignments as required.
  • Partner with business and functional areas across the US Business to build strong working relations and improve workflow and organizational issues; maintain regular and on-going communications.
  • Develop senior management communications for use at U.S. Business town halls, quarterly business reviews with CEO, earnings calls, US senior leadership team & MetLife executive leadership team meetings, and external events.
  • Plan, create content, and coordinate end-to-end logistics for U.S. Business events (senior leadership team meetings, town halls, executive leaders’ site visits, etc.).
  • Oversee employee engagement and internal communication strategies, ensuring strategic alignment, clear value propositions, and consistency.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: 

  • Strategy consulting experience at top consulting firms strongly preferred: strategy development, management consulting, strategic planning, M&A or related area.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, including problem structuring, analysis, and ability to translate information into insights, actionable implications and recommendations.
  • Ability to learn fast and perform well under pressure with quick turnaround time.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • MBA/advanced degree is a plus.

The salary range for applicants for this position is 123,800 to 165,000.
